PicoZip’s user interface were designed to be intuitive and simple, making it extremely easy to use. PicoZip’s features can be accessed using the standard interface, Wizard interface or through Windows Explorer via shell extensions. You can choose to use the user interface that you are most comfortable with.

PicoZip supports more archive formats than most other archive utilities available today and this is important because so many files available on the Internet today are compressed in various formats. PicoZip can create archives in 7 different formats (BH, CAB, JAR, LHA, LZH, TAR, ZIP) and extract files from 19 different archive formats (ACE, ARC, ARJ, BH, CAB, GZ, JAR, LHA, LZH, MIM, RAR, TAR, TGZ, UUE, WAR, XXE, Z, ZIP, ZOO). PicoZip can also create self-extracting archives in 8 different formats (ACE, ARJ, BH, JAR, LHA, LZH, RAR, ZIP).
Seamless Windows integration
PicoZip is tightly integrated with Windows Explorer, allowing you to carry out most commonly used operations directly from within Windows Explorer. Fast and easy automated backup
PicoZip comes with an easy to use full-featured backup tool that automates most of the backup task for you. Create self-extracting archive
PicoZip can create archives that can extract itself without the use of any other archive utility. This is useful for distributing archive files to others who may not have an archive utility, or may not know how to use one. You have the option to create self-extracting archives in 8 different formats.

PicoZip comes with an integrated archive files explorer that allows you to easily browse your computer for archive files or to browse the folders within an archive file.

Strong 128/256-bit AES encryption
PicoZip allows you to protect sensitive data in ZIP files using strong 128-bit or 256-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) encryption. PicoZip encrypted ZIP files are WinZip compatible. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) selected AES as the standard for both U.S. government and private data encryption.
Built-in support for CD/DVD burning
PicoZip comes with integrated CD/DVD writing capabilities that makes it easy for you to burn your archive files directly to CD/DVD without needing to use other third party software. PicoZip support CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW and DVD-RAM.

Integrated email support

Quick access tray tool
PicoZip’s tray tool resides in the Windows tray area on your task bar, providing you with quick access to commonly used features. You can also run backups or open recently used archives from here.

PicoZip allows you to bookmark all your favorite folders and makes it really simple to browse them for archives using the built-in file explorer.
Files filter
The Filter feature in PicoZip allows you to filter the files in an archive based on a filemask (e.g. *.doc, *.txt).
File find
The powerful File find feature allows you to search for files within an archive using wildcards, range of dates, range of file sizes or any combination of those criteria.
Extensive help
PicoZip comes with an extensive context sensitive help system. If at any time, you have any difficulty using PicoZip, just hit the “F1” key and the relevant information will be shown to guide you.
Repair ZIP archives
PicoZip can repair damaged ZIP archives.
Split ZIP archives
PicoZip can split large ZIP archives into many smaller files, making it easy to store large ZIP archives into practically any media. PicoZip split ZIP files are WinZip compatible.
Export files list
PicoZip can export archive contents listing in 3 different formats: HTML, CSV (Excel) or plain text.
Print files list
PicoZip can print the archive contents listing directly to your printer.
